Edward A. Doskey’s practice is dedicated to representing the injured and disabled in long-term disability (LTD) insurance denials, workers’ compensation cases, ERISA, personal injury and wrongful death.

Edward A. Doskey graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Florida, with honors, in 1993, and he received his juris doctor from the Boston College School of Law in 1997. Edward began practicing law in Coral Gables with the law firm of Sugarman & Susskind in 1997 where he began his experience as an ERISA and wage and hour Trial lawyer.

Before joining this law firm, Edward was a partner at Matusek, McKnight, Poluse, Cangro and Doskey, P.A., in St. Petersburg, Florida where he did workers’ compensation insurance defense and claimants’ litigation and began his own Social Security Claimant’s practice. Most recently Edward practiced as a partner with the Kimsey Law Group in Tampa, Florida where he litigated and tried cases for Plaintiffs and Claimants in the areas of personal injury, long term disability, ERISA, and Social Security disability.

For the past fourteen years Edward has devoted most of his practice to representing disabled workers with long-term disability insurance claims.

He has represented hundreds of disabled clients in disputes with long-term disability insurance companies over denied private disability insurance payments, ERISA claims, and denied life insurance claims.

Edward has extensive experience litigating against insurance companies, whether the long-term disability insurance policy was purchased individually or as part of an employer-sponsored group plan governed by the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA). Edward is licensed to practice in Florida and Louisiana, and maintains practices in each state, and is of counsel with the Law Firm of Mike Murburg, P.A., where he represents clients whose with long-term disability insurance claims.

He is admitted before various federal courts, including the United States District Courts for the Northern, Middle and Southern Districts of Florida, and the Eastern District of Louisiana, as well as the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeal.
